In Luke 24:45 the risen Lord Jesus opened the minds of his followers
so
that they could understand the Scriptures. The Latimer Trust operates
from the assumption that this task of understanding the scriptures should
be centred in our minds as it continues to be vital for the life and witness
of God's people. Our vision is that the resources of the Latimer Trust
should be directed to bring the life-giving power of Christian truth to
God's people, and to support them in addressing those who have rejected
or have wandered away from that truth.
The Trust has a conservative evangelical basis of faith. It aims to encourage able and reliable
Christians to produce good and sound theological material which is then disseminated by publications, lectures and other media. We
have a small but important collection of books which is kept within the
Oak Hill Theological College Library in north London. The catalogue of these books is available through the Theological Heritage User Group On-line Catalogue
where their designation is "Latimer"
The Theological Work Group (TWG) lies at the heart of The Latimer Trust's ministry. It considers topics and issues that need to be
addressed and then organises writers to produce material on them. The Latimer Trust Council oversees this work and facilitates the publication
and dissemination of what the TWG produces.
