A Christian Theological Language
One of the most frequently heard criticisms of Christian theology today is that its language is either inadequate to describe the mysteries of God, or else is totally meaningless in its attempt to relate them to the intelligible world of men.
This dilemma is the focus of this study, which tackles the central issues of the Name of God, Christian Theological vocabulary, and the Trinity, as a springboard to communicating our theology today. It continues by addressing two further 'hot issues': the 'Gender' of God, and Cross-cultural communication.
Those with a particular interest in the limitations of human language when speaking of God may also be interested in LS 63 "Too Big For Words?" by Mark D Thompson (2006).
Gerald Bray has been associated with the Latimer Trust for many years and since 2006 is its Director of Research.
